Tensions Flare Between Blockchain Developer Bjorn Bjercke and OneCoin’s Duncan Arthur

Welcome back, Cryptoinvestars. As promised, I’m here to keep you updated on the ongoing saga surrounding the infamous OneCoin scandal.

In the latest chapter of this unfolding drama, Norwegian blockchain developer Bjorn Bjercke has fired back at Duncan Arthur, a former insider of the now-disgraced crypto scheme, with some sharp words that reflect just how personal this dispute has become.

If you’ve not been following, this clash gained new life following the release of Lie to Me, an international documentary exposing the OneCoin scam.

In the film, Bjorn Bjercke features prominently, as much of the story revolves around his efforts to reveal the truth.

Recently, Duncan Arthur made comments on BehindMLM, dismissing Bjorn’s role in bringing down OneCoin.

That led me to reach out to Bjorn for his thoughts, and he didn’t hold back.

When asked what he made of Duncan Arthur’s comments and his demeanor when they met in person, Bjorn didn’t mince words.

He looks like a four-year-old toddler,” Bjorn said. “But as he said himself, ‘stupidity is not a crime.’”

It’s a pointed remark, referring to Duncan’s own claim in Lie to Me that when Konstantin Ignatov, OneCoin’s key figure, was arrested at a U.S. airport, the authorities told him he was spared because “stupidity isn’t a crime.”

It seems Bjorn is now turning those very words back on Duncan.

Personal Grudges and Deep Divides

While it’s clear Bjorn isn’t impressed with Duncan Arthur’s recent remarks, this story runs deeper than a simple disagreement.

As I spoke with Bjorn, it became obvious that he feels Duncan’s comments undermine the serious work that went into exposing the OneCoin fraud.

However, this isn’t a battle between just two men.

Behind the scenes, there’s longstanding tension between Duncan Arthur and Jen McAdam, the most recognized victim advocate for OneCoin’s countless victims.

The two can’t even be in the same room, and Duncan has publicly questioned the recognition Jen receives for her relentless fight for justice.

That’s a topic we’ll revisit in the future.

In his own defense, Duncan Arthur claims the documentary set him up.

He stated that while Bjorn had ample time to prepare his remarks, Duncan was thrown into an impromptu, emotionally charged meeting.

“I went in cold after being hit and punched for 99 minutes for an unplanned meeting,” Duncan claims.

He also criticized Bjorn for being culturally unaware.

In England, you shake hands. He wasn’t having any of it,”Duncan said, implying that Bjorn failed to respect English social customs.

Tensions Flare Between Blockchain developer Bjorn and Arthur : Insults, Accusations, and a Feud Without End

The exchange didn’t stop there. Duncan Arthur continued his tirade, accusing Bjorn of yelling at him in public, comparing his voice to an “Oompa Loompa” from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and likening his appearance to the Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons.

He shrieked at me as if I was Ruja herself,” Duncan claimed, referencing Ruja Ignatova, the missing mastermind behind OneCoin.

He went further, accusing Bjorn of paranoia, alleging that Bjorn blamed him for everything from drug trafficking to human trafficking.

The guy is a complete top. He thinks I’m responsible for everything under the sun,” Duncan vented.

To Arthur, Bjorn is a distraction  someone who inflated his own role in the collapse of OneCoin.

Papa Smurf really believes he had some impact. He didn’t,” Duncan said, alleging that even PR firms handling OneCoin’s image considered Bjorn to be more of a comic character than a serious threat.

The feud also spilled onto social media, where Duncan accused Bjorn of being obsessed with his documentary appearances while lacking broader knowledge of other major financial scandals, like Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme or the collapse of FTX.

Final Thoughts

As a journalist closely following this story, it’s clear this personal war shows no signs of cooling down.

The conflict between Bjorn Bjercke and Duncan Arthur appears deeply personal, filled with grudges, past betrayals, and clashing egos.

But beyond the insults and accusations, this messy saga is a reminder of the complex human emotions tied to one of the largest financial frauds in history.

I’ll be keeping an eye on these developments and will bring you updates as they unfold.

Until next time, stay safe, and keep questioning.
