OneCoin’s Duncan Arthur Criticises Norwegian Blockchain Expert Bjorn Bjercke Over ‘Lie to Me’ Documentary

Welcome back, crypto enthusiasts.

A fresh wave of controversy has erupted within the crypto community following the recent release of the Lie to Me documentary  a Norwegian investigative film that delves deep into the notorious OneCoin scam.

The film, which premiered on YouTube just a couple of days ago, has already ignited sharp exchanges between key figures connected to the OneCoin saga, notably Duncan Arthur and renowned Norwegian blockchain developer, Bjorn Bjercke.

Duncan Arthur, a former insider at OneCoin and the figure behind its DealShaker platform, has voiced strong objections against Bjercke’s portrayal in the documentary.

In a rather heated reaction shared on BehindMLM on May 15th, Duncan questioned how Bjorn could claim credit for single-handedly exposing the OneCoin scam  widely considered one of the largest cryptocurrency frauds in history.

How can one man have exposed the OneCoin crypto scam? Hmm, no,” Duncan remarked, making it clear he disagreed with the narrative presented in the documentary.

According to Duncan, while many individuals worked discreetly behind the scenes to bring down the fraudulent scheme, not all sought public recognition or PR-driven documentaries to tell their stories.

He implied that several of these contributors were known personally by Ruja Ignatova, the elusive founder of OneCoin, and yet did not resort to public platforms to highlight their involvement.

As a journalist observing this situation, it seems evident that Duncan Arthur doesn’t believe Bjorn’s role was as pivotal as the documentary suggests.

This raises an important question  is Duncan expressing genuine concern over historical accuracy, or could this be an expression of envy towards Bjorn’s well-deserved recognition and the global spotlight he has now received through the documentary?

Interestingly, Duncan’s criticism has not gone unchallenged. Lynndel Edgington, a well-known MLM scam exposer and author, was quick to call out Duncan’s contradictory stance.

Lynndel pointed out that in the very same documentary, Duncan openly commended Bjorn for his bravery and efforts in exposing OneCoin.

They were especially worried about you, and they had a whole PR agency go out and try to target you as much as possible,” Duncan is seen saying to Bjorn in one of the scenes, as the two sat together on a city street.

For Lynndel, this apparent contradiction was unacceptable.

He accused Duncan of dishonesty, noting that for years Duncan claimed Ruja Ignatova never knew who Bjorn was  yet now, in the documentary, Duncan acknowledges the extent to which Bjorn was considered a threat by OneCoin leadership.

This discrepancy has fueled suspicion about Duncan’s true motives and narrative.

It appears that the Lie to Me documentary has not only reopened old wounds but also intensified personal rivalries between those once entangled in the OneCoin scandal.

What started as a collective mission to reveal the truth about a crypto scam has now seemingly turned into a dispute over individual contributions and recognition.

For context, Duncan Arthur was a significant figure within OneCoin’s ecosystem, heading its DealShaker platform and working directly under Ruja Ignatova.

However, after the arrest of Ruja’s brother, Konstantin Ignatov, in 2018, Duncan turned against the organization. He cooperated with law enforcement, providing them with valuable data and insider information.

In the documentary, Duncan candidly admits, “They think I’m a traitor. I did this to escape prison. I’m not going to jail for the things I didn’t do. I didn’t even know I was working for a company without a blockchain.”

On the other hand, Bjorn Bjercke, affectionately nicknamed Mr. Bitcoin Norway, is a respected blockchain expert with an extensive career working with prominent tech and blockchain companies.

It was Bjorn who initially raised serious concerns about OneCoin’s technological claims, and according to many, played a vital role in publicly questioning its legitimacy.

Who, then, is telling the truth? And why have these two men in a documentary seemingly on the same side found themselves at odds?

At this point, it remains unclear. The Lie to Me documentary has undoubtedly stirred emotions and perhaps reignited unresolved tensions.

If either Duncan Arthur or Bjorn Bjercke decides to respond or offer clarifications, rest assured I will bring those updates to you here.

For now, the crypto community watches closely as this dramatic chapter in the OneCoin story continues to unfold.
